Just For The Summer by Abby Jimenez
Plot/Summary:
Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez is a romance novel about two people who have the worst luck in relationships. The main characters, Justin and Emma, both think that they’re cursed. Because every person they date ends up finding "the one" right after breaking up with them. They meet when Justin makes a reddit post that goes viral, talking about his curse. He then suggests an experiment, they should date each other for the summer (4 dates, one kiss and breakup) to break their curse so they can find their soul mate.
As they spend time together, their fake relationship starts to feel a bit more real. So as summer comes to an end, they have to figure out if their relationship is worth fighting for with everything else going on in their lives at the moment. The beautiful love story of Justin and Emma explores themes of love, fate, and whether or not people can change their destiny.
-Note: Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez is the third book of a trilogy called Part of Your World, although it can be read as a standalone- which is what I did. The other books are just as great and I highly recommend you give those a try as well. They are just as easy to read and filled with fun plotlines.

My Thoughts:
Just for the Summer is the perfect beach read. It’s fun, romantic, and easy to get lost in. The chemistry between Justin and Emma is fantastic, and with the addition of their "curse" makes for an interesting and fresh take on a romance story. Although there are plenty of lighthearted moments and witty banter, there’s also an emotional depth that gives the book more meaning beyond just a summer fling. Abby Jimenez did a fantastic job balancing humor with heartfelt moments, making this a romance that sticks with you for a LONG time. If you love stories with fake dating, the “if he wanted to he would” trope, and just the right amount of emotional pull, this romance book is definitely worth reading!
